About the Island
Eniryn is a relatively small island, seemingly trapped in space and time. Thick walls of mists surround it, shielding it from eyes of the outside world, and retaining the magic that saturates the island. Creatures of tales and imagination dwell on the island, some common to the outside world, and some never seen or dreamt of before. Most of the island is free wilderness, only a few signs of civilization, placed there by the human inhabitants of the island, appear.
A small pair of docks sits on the edge of the beach that runs along the east side of the island. The docks are worn and old, though rarely used. Newcomers to the island aren't common, only the rare lost castaway or occasional person for whom the mists disperse enough to show the island. The inhabitants know the chances of penetrating the mists around the island are slim, so rarely does anybody even attempt to leave the island, though small boats await at the dock should anyone choose to. A path is cut right between the Faerie Woods and Haunted forest, linking the docks and beach to the town that sits right in the middle of the island.
The town, called Manshire, was built many years ago by the human inhabitants of the island. It includes a few small houses to live in, a healing house for the sick, pastures and stables for the inhabitants' livestock and horses, a marketplace for supplies and business, a tavern for food, drinks, and a place to meet and talk at, as well as a blacksmith for weapons repair and sale, and a garden area for food production. There are very few travelers or passers by in the town, (mainly becausee the island is far too small for anyone to really do much traveling on) so its inn is very small, and only offers a couple of rooms.
There are two distinct forests on the island. One is green, alive, and always filled with light and the chirping of birds and the sounds of forest life in general. This forest is often called the Faerie woods by the inhabitants of the forest, probably because faeries can often be seen flitting through the trees. In this forest sits the temple of the Goddess of Light, a temple of beautiful architecture and pure white stone; It seems to constantly glow with light. Also in the woods is a small village called Adlin. Unlike Manshire, it was built by more magical creatures than humans, and is mainly inhabited by elves, anthros, and the like.
The other forest is one of darkness. The trees are black, knotted, and mostly dead. No leaves grow on their branches, yet the branches twist around eachother so thickly, that no light ever reachess the floor of the forest, making it a perfect place for creature of darkness. Myst's inhabitants often call this forest the Haunted Forest, an accurate name as it is filled with unfriendly spirits, demons, vampires, and other dangerous creatures that lurk in the shadows. In this forest rests the Temple of the God of Darkness. The architecture is indeed quite impressive, though this temple is made of stone of pure black, and is covered in sharp curved spikes. Inside, no light ever enters. It is far too dark for any mortal to be able to see inside, only the Dark God himself and his vampiric and demonic followers are able to see. Like the Fairy Woods, this forest holds a small village of its own, though this one appears dead and abandoned. It is inhabited by demons, vampires, and spirits.

A map of Eniryn, in case you're wondering what's where. Sorry, I know its a little rough and out of proportion (The town is much bigger than it should be), but I did the entire thing with a mouse.

This is the map of the town. Again, sorry if things are a little out of proportion... drawing maps is really not my strong point.
The numbers on the houses on the left hand side of the map are house numbers that are actually on the houses beside the door.
Please note that neither of the maps have been updated in quite a while, and neither is completely correct when compared to the roleplaying boards.
