Species

This is a list of the creatures you can be here in Eniryn, and a description of each. You do not have to read every one, but it is recommended that you read the ones that you might want your character to be. Please note that these are by no means the only species allowed, they are simply the most common ones, and are listed to give you an idea of the possibilities for your character's species.

Humans:
Humans are the most common type of being. They are very adaptable to many environments, situations, and skills. Many of them, however, prefer the civilized setting of the town of Manshire.

Elves:
Elves generally stand a bit taller than humans, and have a more graceful build. The elves' weapon of choice is often the bow and arrow, though they can, and do use swords and other weapons.

Gods and Goddesses:
The Gods and Goddesses are greater entities, who usually stay in their Temples or above the land of Eniryn, watching over it. They often take the form of a human, elf, or any other creature they wish to go down to the land and walk among their people. There are only 2 Gods (Or Goddesses) in Eniryn. The God or Goddess of light, and the God or Goddess of darkness (The gender is up to the roleplayer). Though the forces of light and darkness oppose each other, they are generally balanced, and do not, as of now, waste time fighting amongst themselves. The gods do also not run around acting like fools. They rarely befriend mortals, but might grant prayers or wishes made by devoted followers, if they think it worthy.

Fairies:
Small human-like creatures with insect-like wings. They are usually just about 5 to 6 inches tall. Most are not very good with weapons, and choose to use magic instead, while many do not like to fight simply by nature.

Dragons:
It is difficult to explain a dragon, because they can look like almost anything. A dragon could be enormous in size, or so small that it could easily pearch on a human's shoulder, or even smaller. Some have wings, some don't, they can come in any color, and their physical features vary greatly. Here on Eniryn, there is no limit to what your dragon could look like if you choose this species for your character.

Gryphons:
A creature with the head, neck, chest, front legs, and wings of an eagle, and the hind-quarters of a lion. They are very proud creatures, and can become quite fierce.

Phoenix:
A bird born of fire. They vary in size, but are usually pretty big (bigger than a human). Their feathers are orange, yellow and red, or even made of flame. They have the power of fire, and can create it as well as resist it.

Vampires:
Vampires are undead creatures that rely upon the blood of mortals in order to survive. Vampires can often be identified by their two sharp fangs and unnaturally pale skin. They cannot go out into the sunlight, or they will die, so they are creatures of the night. If a mortal is bitten by a vampire, they will often die of blood loss, unless the mortal drinks some of the vampire's blood, in which case the mortal then becomes a vampire. All vampires have very heightened senses; They can see very well in the dark, and have the ability to sense the presence of both mortals and immortals very well. Because vampires are creatures of the night they are always dark aligned.

Shape Shifters:
A creature that can sape-shift into almost any form they wish. They often choose one or two forms that they particularly like and stay in those forms more than any other form. Silver forces them to stay in their current form, denying them the ability to shift from it.

Mirmaid or Mirman:
A creature that lives in water, has the torso, head and arms of a human, but the tail of a fish.

Spirits:
Spirits are the restless souls of the dead. poltarguiests, banshees, and other 'ghosts' are spirits. they can dissappear completely and are sometimes michievious, knocking things over, and moving things around. Poltarguiests like to pick a 'victim' and follow only that particlular person around for a few days, no matter where they go. Some spirits are dark, and like to just stay in the Haunted forest, and some are kind and good hearted, wandering the lands, choosing whomever they wish to appear to and showing themselves, never really wanting to hurt anyone. They do not have any magic.

Unicorns:
A horse-like creature with a long, sometimes spiraling horn adorning its head. they are pure white, and their blood is said to bring everlasting life. They are generally shy creatures, though, and don't show themselves to others very often.

Pegasus:
A horse with wings. They can obvoiusly fly, and their color varies. They are not as shy as unicorns, though, and will sometimes fly out to just go explore and see what new things they can find.

Centaur:
the torso, head and arms of a human, and the body of a horse.

Hippocampus:
Half horse, and half fish, this animal lives in the ocean around the island. Sometimes their front feet are webbed paws instead of hooves, but not always. They are usually colored the same as any regular horse would be. All hippocampus have the ability to become full horse, but they prefer their water-going form, so they don't do it often.

Hippogryph:
Much like the gryphon, it has the head, neck, cheast, front legs, and wings of an eagle, but instead of having the hind-quarters of a lion, they have the hind-quarters of a horse. Gryphons and Hyppogryphs tend to get along really well, and often live together.

Demon:
Demons have the ability to possess people, and only live in the Haunted forest. They can be in some sort of humanoid form or in the form of an animal of sorts like a wolf or panther, though they can't shapeshift.

Werecreatures:
Weres are creatures that can shift from human form to the form of an animal by the light of a full moon, or any other time they wish. Weres, on the Island of Myst, can be just about any kind of creature. Please specify what kind of Were the character is.

Hybrids and Antros
Hybrids are a mixture of two, or sometimes three or even four different species. Usually they are half one thing and half another because their parents were of different species. Antros are sort of another version of hybrid, but are always part human part animal. They have the general form of a human, but they have the head, hands, and feet of their animal part. They might have a tail or wings, and they might take on other attributes of their animal part like fur, scales, or general personality. Hybrids and Anthros can have one elemental Magick. If you choose this option, please specify what kind of anthro, or what species make up the hybrid.

Other:
Other species, be they simply not listed here, or made up from your own mind, are allowed so long as a species name and description of the species is included.

Note:
If your character is a hybrid, were, anthro, or one listed on this page, please specify a name for it.
